100 Vitebsk schoolchildren traveled to Minsk for the country's main Christmas tree
The best New Year's gift for eighty children from the Vitebsk region was a trip to the main Christmas tree of the country at the Palace of the Republic. Our correspondent learned about the feelings of the young lucky ones heading to the capital from the children before their departure.
Top students, participants of contests and olympiads from city schools and districts of the region, even before leaving, imagined this event as something spectacular, colorful, something that would be remembered for a lifetime.
— I always used to watch reports about this event on TV and hoped that I would get there myself someday. And now my cherished dream has come true! I am happy, — shared Anastasia Gabdrashitova, a student of secondary school No. 15 in Vitebsk.
Nastya is from a large family. She is an excellent student, an active participant in amateur arts, studies music, and loves to play the guitar.
Nastya's joy in anticipation of the exciting trip is shared by Egor Gukov, a 5th-grade student of gymnasium No. 6. As it turned out, the boy had already been featured in our newspaper thanks to his useful and creative environmental projects "Garbage in the Life of the City" and others. Now the young ecologist is passionate about a new project "The Sad Secret of Paper".
