Miracles happen on New Year's Eve, Irina Rassada is sure. Arriving with her husband to visit his sister in Vitebsk from Beshenkovichi district to celebrate the holiday together with loved ones, the expectant mother felt well and was absolutely sure that the baby would not be born before Christmas.

An ambulance was promptly called. And then came long hours of waiting. It is difficult to imagine what the New Year's night was like for the young father, as he only found out at 8 am that on January 1st at 0:15 am he became a father. Relatives were also worried. It is quite likely that all of Irina's loved ones' wishes came true this time. Baby Polina was born in the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Maternity Hospital weighing 2 kilograms 700 grams and measuring 49 centimeters. This is the couple's first child.
