12 enterprises of the Vitebsk region will be transformed into open joint-stock companies

By the end of the year, it is planned to complete the transformation of 12 enterprises of republican and communal property into open joint-stock companies in the Vitebsk region, and next year to intensify preparations for their privatization.

As reported by the fund "Vitebskoblimushchestvo", UP "Vitebsktorgtekhnika" and RUPDP "Lepel Electromechanical Plant" have already been transformed, and the process of transforming RUP "Vitebskhlebprom" into a joint-stock company is in the final stage. Among the enterprises of regional property, it is planned to create OJSC based on KUP "Obolsky Ceramic Plant", "Trading House "Obolsky", DUKSTP "ObolStroy", KTPUP "Vitebsk Cold Storage Plant" and KUTP "Bakaleya". Another 4 enterprises planned for reform belong to district property. employees' guarantees.

Also, to increase the investment attractiveness of assets, specialists of "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" have formed, based on proposals from local authorities, lists of open joint-stock companies with municipal property shares of less than 25% (26 enterprises included), from 25% to 50% (6), and small enterprises in the form of OJSC (34 entities), regarding which privatization decisions may be made. At this stage, a competitive sale of a package of shares of OJSC "SPMK-27, Polotsk" in the amount of 87.99%, owned by the Vitebsk region, with a starting price of almost 5.7 billion rubles, has already been announced.
