12 schools in the Vitebsk region will be renovated with the participation of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development
According to Grigory Asirian, Head of the Department of Education, Sports and Tourism of the Liozno District Executive Committee, budget funds have been allocated for the completion of design and estimate documentation for the overhaul of the urban settlement secondary school No. 1 this year. The state's share in this is about 1.5 million rubles. The Bank will join at the repair stage.
In a couple of years, this will be an educational institution equipped to the highest standard. Substantial changes await the local basic school No. 2, the building of which was constructed more than half a century ago. For these purposes, including the preparation of design and estimate documentation, the bank's board has planned $275,000.
According to Natalia Vasilevich, Head of the Technical Supervision Department at the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Education Department, out of the 12 schools in the region planned for repair within this project, Tolochin Secondary School No. 2 and Dubrovno Secondary School No. 1 have been fully renovated, and Miory Secondary School No. 3, Novopogostskaya Secondary School of Miory District, and Surazh Secondary School (Vitebsk District) have been partially renovated.
