On January 15, 2013, an art exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the formation of the Vitebsk region will be held

The history of the Vitebsk region is a chronicle of patriotism, self-sacrifice, and enthusiasm, captured in archival documents, newspaper reports, and the works of Vitebsk artists.

On January 15, 2013, the "Art Museum" branch of the cultural institution "Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore" will open two exhibitions dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Vitebsk region:

"Vitebsk. Almost Half a Century Ago". The exhibition features works by artists, many of whom were direct participants and witnesses of the heroic epic of Vitebsk's restoration: Dzhezhyts V.K., Yavich P.M., Kukharev V.I., Tolkach A.I., Korzhenevsky A.S., Lebedev G.P., Lukyanov V.M., Krasovsky E.K., Kiselev G.P., Androsov V.A.

"Vitebsk Region in the Works of Artists of the Early 21st Century". Artists who presented their works here include: Androsov V.A., Barankovskaya S.A., Vrublevskaya S.V., Gorolevich D.A., Grivusevich P.B., Gugnin N.A., Gumenn F.F., Domanov A.V., Drannko N.A., Ilyinov A.V., Izoytko A.S., Kiselev G.P., Klikushin G.F., Kovalyov A.F., Kruk V.F., Kuznetsov F.M., Lalyko B.G., Levkovich M.V., Lukyanov V.M., Markovets V.P., Mayak B.N., Naprienko V.L., Privado S.P., Pshenko A.E., Ral'tsevich V.I., Skovorodko O.A., Stolyarov I.M., Taranda N.I., Tikhonov V.P., Tsibulsky M.L., Shamshur V.V., Shappo V.D., Shienok A.S., Shkuratov N.I., Shutov G.F., Shchemelev L.D.

The anniversary exhibition occupies the entire 3rd floor of the Art Museum building. It features 100 artworks dedicated to the history of the Vitebsk region, its landscapes, and architectural monuments. 20 districts of the region are represented by works of artists native to these districts. A significant portion of the works is dedicated to the regional center, the city of Vitebsk.
