On May 15, the republican family agricultural project "Master of the Village – 2021" will start.
On International Family Day, the acceptance of applications for participation in the popular youth agricultural project will begin in the regions of the country. Young families with children who have lived in rural settlements for more than three years will be able to compete for the title of "Master of the Village – 2021". Of course, each family must not only work in rural areas but also maintain a personal subsidiary farm. We would also like to draw attention to the age limit for adult participants in the competition – at least one of the spouses must be no older than 31 years old on the day of participation in all rounds of the project. Applications for participation in the project should be sent to the district committees of the BRSM at the place of residence. By June 15, we will know the names of the contenders for participation in the regional rounds.
– "Master of the Village" is aimed at popularizing agricultural labor and life, as well as increasing the role and significance of the family as the most important social institution of society, fostering a positive attitude towards traditional family values among youth, and promoting the retention of young families in rural areas, – emphasized Vladimir Babichev, First Secretary of the regional organization of the BRSM.
By the way, on International Family Day, the regional family agricultural marathon project "Family Starts" will also be launched in the Vitebsk region, which includes: recording videos of participants of the "Master of the Village" project of different years, where families will talk about what the project has given them. An open dialogue "Master of the Village: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow!" with participants of the project from different years, and participants of the new season of the project. Sports competitions for families, as well as the planting of family tree alleys with participants of the "Master of the Village" project, and the start of family traditions for new participating families. For example, in Orsha (in the "Fairy Tale Land" Children's Park), as part of the district campaign "My Family – My Health," the First Secretary of the Orsha District Committee of the NGO "BRSM" will talk about the project and recognize participating families from previous years. All attendees will be treated to a concert by creative groups and thematic interactive platforms of various district services.
According to Vladimir Babichev, the regional stage of the project is scheduled for June 18, 2021, in the Postavy district. The venue was not chosen by chance. In 2020, the Zubko family from Postavy became the winner of the republican project "Vlastelin Sela" (Master of the Village). The republican stage will take place within the framework of the republican holiday "Kupalye" ("Alexandria Gathers Friends") on July 9-10, 2021 (ag. Alexandria, Shklovsky district, Mogilev region).
