The International Economic Forum will start in Vitebsk on May 16
The forum program is divided into four conditional thematic blocks, taking into account the most pressing socio-economic tasks facing the Vitebsk region. The solemn opening ceremony of the forum will set the tone for discussions within the business program of the event. At the same time, representatives of various fields of activity will be honored for their production achievements, and young scientists will be awarded the regional executive committee prize.
The signing of 12 cooperation agreements between the districts of the Vitebsk region and foreign regions is planned on the stage of the Summer Amphitheater, as reported by the Vitebsk Marketing Center. Vitebsk and Obninsk (Kaluga region) intend to officially formalize their partnership, with the first science city of Russia becoming the tenth foreign city with which the regional center is developing interaction. Similar documents are being prepared for signing by the heads of Vitebsk, Liozno, Lepel, Verkhnedvinsk, Beshenkovichi, and Polotsk districts with representatives from Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Ukraine.
Exhibition expositions and demonstration platforms "Innovative Development of Regions", "Export-2019", "Innovative Technologies in Tourism, Sports and Hospitality", "Clusters and their Role in the Development of the Innovation Economy", "IT Zone", "Innovative Equipment and Technology", "Art-Avant-garde", "Sports and Tourism Zone" will be set up for forum participants and guests. For the first time, a separate exhibition pavilion for projects, goods and services of foreign regions will operate at the forum, where representatives from the Saratov, Tula, Lipetsk regions, Latvia, and China have already booked their places.
A business contact exchange will be organized for businessmen, where meetings and negotiations with potential partners can be held.
The discussion part of the forum promises to be rich. The organizers proposed to discuss such topics as "Interregional cooperation in the economic sphere. Experience and prospects", "Electronic trading platforms for business", "Energy saving in industry and construction", "SEZ – promising platforms for project implementation", "Orsha region – a territory for business", "Experience and prospects of interregional tourism", "The role of the education system in innovative developments".
Within two days, the WorldSkills youth competition for professional training and qualifications will be held on the forum's platforms.
