21 facilities are under construction and being designed in the Miory district. Among them are a 40-apartment building, a rolled metal plant, and a kindergarten.

The construction of a 40-apartment building in Miory is under the constant control of the local authorities. It must be commissioned in December. There is not much time left, which forces the bricklayers of PMK-55 to hurry. More than two dozen large families, as well as many other citizens in need of improved housing conditions, are eagerly awaiting housewarming.

 

– The staff of PMK-55 is trying to keep up with the schedules and avoid quality complaints, – noted the Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Leonid Lyasovich. – They have plenty of competitors. In terms of construction and installation work and investments in fixed capital, the Miory district ranks second in the Vitebsk region after the Orsha district. We are building and designing 21 facilities. The most significant among them is the rolled metal plant, which employs about 600 builders and fitters from domestic and foreign companies.

Individual construction is also actively underway in the district. 159 plots have been allocated for it. UP ZhKG is engaged in capital repairs of houses and preparation of heating networks for winter. JSC "Mikalayewski" is repairing its own milk-producing farm, and a number of farms are repairing and building silage trenches on their own or with the help of contractors.

It is expected that this month the expertise will provide a conclusion on the design and estimate documentation for the district polyclinic, and its foundation will be laid this year.

Initial data has been collected for the construction of a kindergarten for 200 places in the district center. The organization that will develop its design is already known – the Novopolotsk branch of the design institute "Vitebskgrazhdansproekt". Another 40-apartment building is under development in the district center, and a 9-apartment building will be erected in Disna.

Wastewater treatment facilities are being designed for Miory and the LVDS settlement in Disna, and a deironing station in Novy Pogost. The rolled metal plant will continue to build housing for its employees.

A specialized German organization will develop the design documentation and then build a cardiology center in Miory, for which a site has already been selected. For less significant facilities, "Polotskselstroy" will act as a contractor.

– That is why our builders will not be left without work, – Leonid Ivanovich is confident. – The presence of construction is one of the main signs of the region's development.
