On March 28, the environmental campaign "Earth Hour" will take place
Earth Hour is an annual international event organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). It is held on the last Saturday of March and calls on everyone to turn off their lights for one hour to raise awareness about climate change, light pollution, and other environmental issues.
This event was first organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature in Australia in collaboration with The Sydney Morning Herald in 2007. The following year, it gained global support, and by 2009, it had become the largest mass event in human history, with WWF estimating it reached over a billion people worldwide. In the Republic of Belarus, Earth Hour has been celebrated since 2009.
