40 trees – thuya, chestnut, and fir trees – were planted in honor of the Ministry of Health's anniversary in the Medical Square in Vitebsk
"There are already several alleys laid out here in honor of significant dates, reported Mikhail Vishnevetsky, Head of the Main Department for Healthcare of the Regional Executive Committee; now another one has appeared. It is dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the Ministry of Health of Belarus, which is celebrated this year, and is located in the square on the territory of Vitebsk City Clinical Maternity Hospital No. 2."
"We chose the place for planting trees not by chance, primarily based on the fact that the main program of the Ministry of Health is 'People's Health and Demographic Security'," noted Vladimir Plytkevich, Chairman of the Regional Committee of the Belarusian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers. "Therefore, I see complete symbolism in the fact that the trees appeared next to the 2nd maternity hospital, where little Belarusians are born."
By the way, the planting material was supplied by the Vitebsk State Production Forestry Association. Dmitry Serzhentov, Chief Physician of Maternity Hospital No. 2, and Ekaterina Boriseevich, General Director of Vitebsk UP "Farmatsiya", took part in the good initiative.
