400 recruits of the 103rd Guards Separate Mobile Brigade of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus took the oath in Vitebsk
Congratulating the servicemen on this significant day, the unit commander, Guards Colonel Vladimir Bely, noted that the military collective has a rich history. Paratroopers covered themselves with unfading glory during the Great Patriotic War and while fulfilling their international duty in Afghanistan. The modern generation continues the combat traditions. Today, the Belarusian army rightfully enjoys the honor and respect of society. The Belarusian people can be confident: whatever trials may arise, the Armed Forces will always be able to protect the interests of their country.
Vladimir Bely thanked the parents for raising their sons and suggested supporting the soldiers together in the difficult moments of mastering their military specialty and guiding them along the thorny path of maturation. The brigade commander wished everyone health, goodness, and peace.
The solemn rally was addressed by the Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces, Colonel Valentin Sudakov, the internationalist soldier, retired Major General Alexander Skachkov, the mother of a serviceman who took the military oath, Irina Budko, Guards Private Yevgeny Bandyuk, and the head of the Vitebsk Diocese department for interaction with the Armed Forces, Archimandrite Sergius.
Young soldiers, together with their senior comrades, marched solemnly past the Eternal Flame. The young men were conscripted from the Vitebsk, Mogilev, Minsk, and Brest regions. Their month of service has been successful. In particular, all of them were cleared to make their first parachute jump.
