01.05.2010 - Social Protection Workers' Day
Dear employees and veterans of the social and labor sphere!
Please accept our most sincere congratulations on your professional holiday – Social Protection Workers' Day!
This holiday has been celebrated since 1997 and has already earned the grateful appreciation of the residents of the Vitebsk region. Often, due to circumstances, a person finds themselves alone, sick, and defenseless. In such difficult moments, kind, compassionate people, known as social workers, come to the rescue. It is not only out of a sense of duty but, for the most part, out of kindness of heart and responsiveness that you, dear colleagues, care for the elderly and children, veterans and disabled individuals, entire families, and individuals in need.
I wish you robust health and well-being for many years to come, creativity, professionalism, and success in your work, confidence in the future, harmony, and happiness!
I am confident that your professionalism and persistence in achieving goals, and your ability to work with people will allow us to successfully continue in 2010 the work on implementing a number of state programs for demographic security, support for veterans and the elderly, rehabilitation and adaptation of disabled individuals, improving the standard and quality of life for citizens, pension provision and employment, reducing workplace injuries and occupational hazards, and strengthening the material and technical base of stationary social institutions.
On behalf of all the system's employees, I extend special gratitude to the veterans of social protection, who, through their conscientious labor and responsible attitude, laid the traditions of our sector.
I am sincerely grateful and appreciative to our social partners and public organizations for their joint work and business cooperation in addressing the tasks of state support and social protection for citizens of the Vitebsk region.
People who do good deeds live twice as long. Therefore, dear friends, work for the benefit of people, do not spare your time and energy for others, generously give them care, attention, and kindness. Remember: what is given is returned manifold!
May this holiday serve to enhance the prestige and authority of our profession – the social protection worker!
Sincerely,
Chairman of the Committee for Labor,
Employment and Social Protection
of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee M.A. Leshchinsky
