52 poachers detained in Vitebsk region during week-long raid

Last week, employees of the wildlife and flora protection inspectorates conducted 30 raids on water bodies, hunting grounds, and forest areas of the region. 52 poachers were detained, 4 nets with a total length of 270 m, 56 other fishing gear, 2 hunting rifles, and 40 kg of meat were seized. 8 protocols were drawn up for violation of environmental safety regulations. Guilty parties have been brought to administrative responsibility; materials on one case have been sent to the investigative bodies for a decision on initiating a criminal case.
