6 representatives of Vitebsk region awarded the title "Woman of the Year-2017"
In particular, in the "Spirituality and Culture" nomination, the Vice-Rector for Educational and Ideological Work of the Vitebsk State Medical University, Olga Syrodoeva, was recognized; "Mistress of the Village" – the Chairperson of the Parafyanovo Village Council of Deputies of the Dokshitsy District, Galina Azarevich; "Saving Lives" – the Chief Physician of the Regional Maternity Hospital, Elena Leonovich; "Maternal Glory" – a pensioner from the Rossony District, Lidia Romanenko; "Woman in Science" – the First Vice-Rector of PSU named after P.M. Masherov, Valentina Bogatyreva.
A special place is given by the organizer of the annual competition, the NGO "Belarusian Union of Women", to the "Leadership and Successful Management" nomination as proof that a modern woman can realize herself not only as a mother and wife, but also build a successful career and be a competent manager. For example, Elena Furs, Director of the Belgosstrakh representative office in Novopolotsk, Chairperson of the city organization of the NGO "BSW", who was awarded the title "Woman of the Year - 2017" in this particular nomination.
The solemn award ceremony for the competition winners from all regions will take place tomorrow at the Palace of the Republic in Minsk. According to tradition, the Deputy Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, Chairperson of the NGO "BSW", Maryanna Shchetkina, and other distinguished persons of the country will be present.
