On July 7, the 60th meeting of partisans and underground fighters will be held at the Mound of Friendship on the territory of the Verkhnedvinsk (Belarus) and Sebezh (Russia) districts. In recent years, this event has been given a special status in both Belarus and Russia, and it is attended by the leadership of the Vitebsk and Pskov regions.
Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Vladimir Terentyev emphasized that at the anniversary events, the Russians plan to surprise the Belarusians with the scale of the celebrations. Therefore, it is necessary not to be in debt to our neighbors and to organize a worthy reception from our side, attracting as many young people as possible.
Another intrigue of the international forum is the participation of high-ranking officials from both states. The list of those who will be invited is currently being developed.
