7 mothers with many children from the Vitebsk region were awarded the Order of Motherhood

Among those awarded the Order of Motherhood for the birth and upbringing of five or more children are seven large families from the Vitebsk region. The corresponding Decree was signed by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on December 9.

The award was given to Irina Mikhalievich, a nurse at the Dokshitsy Central District Hospital polyclinic, Anna Nuzhina, a postwoman at the Braslav RUPS, Galina Pobershina, an assistant educator at kindergarten No. 3 in Braslav, Evgenia Stepanenko, a communications operator at the Vitebsk branch of RUP "Belpochta", as well as housewives from Vitebsk Tatyana Bogdanova, Iveta Karnishava, and Alena Mantacheva from the agro-town of Pochavechi, Chashniksky district. Congratulations, thank you for your big mother's heart, and we wish you all the earthly blessings!

By the way, as reported by the Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Regional Executive Committee, a total of 684 women in the Vitebsk region are holders of this order. In accordance with current legislation, when presenting for an award, in addition to the number of children (five or more), the family's characteristics are also taken into account: it must have a positive experience of upbringing, education and family relationships, and be a worthy example for others.
