750 polling stations have been established in the Vitebsk region
This stage will last until June 21 inclusive, and shortly before its end (no later than June 19), territorial election commissions will complete the acceptance of signature sheets in support of the nomination of candidates for President.
Compared to the 2015 election campaign, the number of polling stations has decreased by approximately 11%. In Vitebsk, Novopolotsk, as well as in Sharkovshchinsky, Rossonksy, Lioznensky, and Dokshitsky districts, voters will primarily follow familiar routes. In other districts, the number of polling stations has decreased by 3 or more, so it is advisable to clarify their location in advance. Of course, precinct election commissions will also take care of this, and no later than ten days before the election, they will send everyone notifications about the date, time, and place of voting.
District and city executive committees must establish precinct election commissions no later than June 24. They can consist of 5 to 19 members. Political parties and other public associations, labor collectives, and citizens by collecting signatures can nominate their representatives. Precinct election commissions bear the main workload with voters, from clarifying lists to counting votes on election day, August 9.
