80% of the products are exported through the company's own sales network by Vitebsk Carpets OJSC

One of the oldest and most stable enterprises in the city, Vitebsk Carpets OJSC, is not slowing down and is keeping pace with the times, striving to meet all current consumer demands.

The enterprise's capacity is 18 million square meters of carpet products per year. 80 percent of the products are shipped for export. In the first five months of this year, about 6 million square meters of carpets have already been produced.

The products of Vitebsk Carpets OJSC are focused not only on the domestic market (there are 30 company stores in Belarus) but are also supplied to the Baltic states, Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and other countries.

What is needed to achieve such results?

— Developing the product range, introducing new creative and technological ideas, bold experiments in combining different types of raw materials, weaves, and color schemes are now the most important items on our agenda, — said Elena Chebotareva, Deputy General Director for Economics of Vitebsk Carpets OJSC.

New collections are always released taking into account modern fashion trends and customer tastes. As expected, the new collection of floor coverings, which began to be produced here in April, is in good demand. In addition, just the other day, the production of the "Supershaggy" high-pile carpet collection with an ultra-soft polypropylene yarn was launched, and the carpets turn out to be so fluffy that you just want to touch them!
