The 95th anniversary of the district's formation was celebrated in Ushachy

95-летний юбилей со дня образования района отметили на Ушаччине
One of the most picturesque corners of Belarus, a land of blue lakes and pristine forests – Ushachchyna celebrated its anniversary: 95 years since the district's formation.

A real gift for the holiday was the opening of nursery-kindergarten No. 3 in the district center after major repairs and modernization. The Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Vladimir Andreichenko, visited the children for the housewarming.

Work was carried out in the building, which desperately needed renovation, for two years. And today, the nursery-kindergarten adorns the town, and children's voices ring out here. By the way, the kindergarten got a second life just in time for its 30th anniversary; it was built in 1989. Only the walls remained from the old building. The roof has been replaced, all engineering systems and communications have been modernized, new equipment for the canteen and furniture have been purchased, and landscaping has been carried out. A spacious and attractive music room has been equipped, as well as a playground on the courtyard, which now even has a traffic town for children to learn the Rules of the Road. Currently, the institution accommodates 62 preschoolers, and two first grades of the Ushachi school, with over 40 boys and girls, are also located here. After major repairs, the building, as before, houses a children's social shelter.

Vladimir Andreichenko expressed confidence that children here will receive only positive emotions and a decent upbringing. At the same time, he noted that this is far from the last contribution to the development of the urban settlement, as issues of improving the population's living standards and improving social infrastructure are priorities for both local authorities and the deputy corps. In turn, the chairman of the Ushachi District Executive Committee, Vladimir Avdosko, thanked the deputy and the regional executive committee for their financial support in modernizing the facility.

Speaking at the festive concert "Prosper, Native Land!" to the residents of Ushachi, the Chairman of the House of Representatives congratulated everyone on the wonderful anniversary, thanked them for their diligent work, for multiplying the wealth of their native region, and wished everyone prosperity, peace, and well-being. At the event, former heads of enterprises and organizations were honored with letters of appreciation from the chairman of the district executive committee, and kind words were spoken in favor of many working people. Guests from neighboring districts and the Russian sister city of Sestroretsk arrived in Ushachi with congratulations and gifts.

As part of the anniversary celebration, many different events were held. An ethnographic exhibition "Life and Everyday Life of Ushachi Residents" was opened, which will operate on a permanent basis in the building where the House of Crafts was previously located. A meeting with famous fellow countrymen – prominent figures of science and culture – was held, and a memorial plaque in honor of renowned graduates – Ryhor Baradulin, Evdokia Los, Gennady Garbuk – was unveiled on the building of the Ushachi School. On the day of the holiday, numerous thematic areas unfolded under the open sky. An interesting historical excursion into the past was organized by the staff of the Museum of People's Glory, and master classes were given by the staff of the Children's Art School. Representatives of rural councils traditionally invited guests to their homesteads, and the district library, rescuers, and BRSM set up information and competition-game areas.
