The regional festival of national cultures "The land of Belarus united us" will be held on December 7 in Verkhnedvinsk

On December 7, 2019, the regional festival of national cultures "We are united by the land of Belarus" will be held in Verkhnedvinsk. It is held as the regional qualifying round of the XIII Republican Festival of National Cultures, the final events of which will take place in Grodno in June next year. Members of the Republican Jury for the selection of candidate participants for Grodno will be present at the festival. The festival begins at 12:00 PM at the Verkhnedvinsk District Center of Culture and Folk Art (15 Leningradskaya Street).

Organizers of the festival: Department of Culture of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, State Institution "Vitebsk Regional Methodological Center for Folk Art", Department of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs of the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee.

The festival of national cultures in the Vitebsk region has been held since 2001. Until 2015, it was held in Miory, in 2017 – in Vitebsk, in 2019 – in Verkhnedvinsk.

The festival program will include presentations of national cuisine exhibitions, master classes on cooking national dishes, and exhibitions of handicrafts by masters of the region. In the concert program, individual performers and creative groups will present their national music, songs, and literary works in their native language.

A total of about 200 people will take part in the regional festival events – representatives of Belarusian, Armenian, Ukrainian, Russian, Mordovian, Uzbek, Kazakh, Tajik, Polish, Jewish, Bashkir nationalities from different parts of the Vitebsk region.

Creative groups from neighboring countries: Russia, Latvia are participating as guests.
