"Under favorable weather conditions, spring field work will begin in the region's farms approximately on April 3-5," said Alexei Turkov. This weekend, regional technological groups will monitor districts on the readiness of agricultural organizations for the sowing campaign. All preparatory work for sowing is nearing completion in the region. As of March 22, the delivery of fertilizers for spring sowing has been completed by 80.8%. Dokshytsy and Orsha districts were the first to complete this work, while Verkhnedvinsk, Ushachy, Beshenkovichi, Dubrovno and Lepel districts are close to completion. Reseeding of perennial grasses under winter grain crops has been carried out on an area of 22.9 thousand hectares. 15.2 thousand tons of potatoes have been sorted. 15 thousand hectares of perennial grasses and 18.1 thousand hectares of meadow land have been top-dressed. 127.3 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers have been accumulated for spring sowing.
