Agricultural workers of the Vitebsk region have completed rapeseed sowing

Vitebsk region farmers have completed sowing spring rapeseed, a correspondent was informed at the committee for agriculture and food of the regional executive committee.

The spring rapeseed sowing plan, taking into account the reseeding of winter crops that perished, has been fulfilled by 102% in the region. In general, spring crops in the region have been sown on more than 60% of the areas. The warm weather of the past weekend allowed the region's farmers to make significant progress in spring field work. Sowing of early grains and legumes is nearing completion - work has been done by about 90%. As for other crops, the sowing plan for flax has been fulfilled by more than 60%, for potatoes - by almost 50%, for corn - by 20%. The total sown area of agricultural crops in the region will be 846 thousand hectares this year.
