The agricultural college in Horadok should be granted technopark status - MTZ General Director

Аграрному колледжу в Городке стоит придать статус технопарка - гендиректор МТЗ
The status of the agricultural college in Horadok should be raised. This opinion was expressed today by the General Director of the Minsk Tractor Works, Fyodor Domotenko, during a visit to the educational institution, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent.

According to him, the college's resource center is equipped with the latest technology. "To attract innovative funds here, the college's status must be raised, it should receive the status of a technopark," Fyodor Domotenko emphasized.

He noted that the Horadok college can become the first such institution in the country's vocational education system. The college justifies this level, as its resource center is aimed at training high-class specialists capable of performing systematic tractor diagnostics after completing their studies. "This is something we ourselves at the tractor plant only recently started doing," added the General Director of MTZ.

In addition, in the future, Minsk Tractor Works intends to place orders with the college for graduates based on a certain quota for their further employment at the holding's enterprises, including those located in the Vitebsk region.

The resource center at the Horadok Agricultural and Technical College has been operating since 2004. Today, its grand opening took place after a major renovation of the material and technical base, which will fundamentally change the students' education. Now they will learn the basics of the profession on modern equipment used in agricultural enterprises. The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee allocated over Br200 thousand for the purchase of diagnostic equipment.

Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Industry, almost all Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturers assisted the college, providing their latest models of machinery and equipment free of charge, with a total value of Br700 thousand. Minsk Tractor Works made the most significant contribution to equipping the resource center, handing over two modern tractors to the college and fully equipping the laboratory and

educational class for studying high-powered tractors. In the current academic year, the center will train 270 students and 11 vocational training instructors. Retraining and professional development for agricultural organization employees will be organized.

In the future, it is planned to open a service station for "MTZ" and "Kirovets" high-powered tractors at the resource center, develop a training program for diagnosing agricultural machinery and grain harvesters, and also open admissions for students from other countries.
