March 12, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The BRSM organizations of the Vitebsk region will involve at-risk teenagers in the republican campaign "Together for Safety and Law and Order," the acting first secretary of the Vitebsk regional committee of the BRSM, Lyudmila Kapranova, told a BELTA correspondent. Together with vigilantes, law enforcement officers, and BRSM members, they will participate in patrolling public places in their settlements, in raid duty, various sports events, as well as round tables dedicated to the issues of alcohol consumption, smoking, and drug addiction among youth. "This work will allow teenagers to temporarily shed their at-risk status and feel like needed, active members of society who can not only destroy but also create," Lyudmila Kapranova noted. Other events will also be held as part of the campaign. Thus, visits to dysfunctional families, performances by members of youth law and order protection units for schoolchildren, excursions to military units, solemn ceremonies of awarding vigilante certificates, and information and game programs are planned. The campaign will be held in Belarus from March 15 to 21. Its main objective is the prevention of offenses among youth, the prevention of neglect, alcoholism, drug addiction, as well as the reduction of road traffic injuries among minors.
