Activists of the BRSM of the Vitebsk region congratulated more than a thousand veterans on the eve of Victory Day

More than 1,000 Great Patriotic War veterans were congratulated by BRSM activists in the Vitebsk region on the eve of Victory Day, the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the youth organization informed a BELTA correspondent. Veterans were congratulated by members of primary organizations in educational institutions and work collectives. The young people visited many of the elderly at their homes. During the visits, the young people helped the veterans with household chores, and also collected data on their military biographies to create an electronic book about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. On the eve of Victory Day, BRSM organizations held many other events dedicated to this date. Thus, April was marked for the members of primary organizations by tidying up and improving places of military glory, memorials, and burial sites. The beginning of May was marked by congratulatory events and creative projects. For example, the primary organization of the Vitebsk Technological University held the "Songs of Victory" project, the Railway District Committee - "Let's bow to those great years...". On May 9 itself, many activists of district organizations will organize bike and car rallies to memorable places. Working with veterans and providing them with assistance is not a one-time action, but a multifaceted set of measures that are carried out constantly, the BRSM emphasized. -0-
