Shares of 16 enterprises in the Vitebsk region are put up for sale to potential investors this year

Акции 16 предприятий Витебской области выставлены в этом году на продажу потенциальным инвесторам

In the Vitebsk region, shares of 16 open joint-stock companies with state-owned and communal property stakes are offered for sale at auctions and through tenders to potential investors in 2015. In addition, on the initiative of the State Property Committee of Belarus, work is underway to introduce alternative privatization mechanisms: trust management of shares and the enterprise as a whole as a property complex.

The list for privatization of communal assets prepared by the "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" fund includes Glubokskoye Poultry Farm, Vitebsk Inter-district Repair Enterprise, PMK-26 (Chashniki), for which the region is ready to offer investors a near-controlling stake (50% + 1 share). In addition, securities of Vitebsk Khoztorg, Vitrembyt, Vitebskoblagropromtrans, Vitebsk Cardboard and Printing Plant are put up for sale, and their number (from 20% to 42.2% of the authorized fund) can be increased by decision of the regional executive committee if there are justified proposals from potential investors. A stake of 54.25% of the authorized fund of OJSC "Orshasyrzavod" has been approved for privatization through a tender. In this case, the potential buyer undertakes to invest 5 million dollars within 2 years from the date of acquisition of assets.

The state is ready to exit as a shareholder, selling its entire stake in the Republic of Belarus in the authorized capital of companies operating in the Vitebsk region: "Zavod PAK", "Evistor", "Lantan", the instrument-making plant and the fruit and vegetable processing plant, as well as "Vitebsk-Belpromkultura". In addition, 23.4% of the shares of OJSC "Invet" and 49.29% of "Vitebskdrev" have been prepared for privatization through tender. In all cases, the mandatory condition for acquiring assets is the contribution of funds to the authorized capital in amounts determined for each entity individually.

Additionally, the "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" fund is analyzing the financial and economic activities of a number of enterprises where stock trust management projects, or the property complex as a whole, can be implemented. Following the monitoring, proposals are planned to be prepared for the introduction of such alternative privatization mechanisms in the Vitebsk region.
