Shares of 33 open joint-stock companies in the Vitebsk region are put up for sale
According to the Vitebsk Regional Property Committee, in most cases, it is about offering for sale a package of shares ranging from 26% to 49% of the authorized capital. At the same time, the possibility of increasing the number of securities sold is provided for by a decision of the regional executive committee, if substantiated proposals are submitted or a corresponding business plan is developed.
In addition, in eight OJSCs (Orsha Construction Materials Plant, "Bakaleya Vitebsk", "Lotoss" Association, Obol Ceramic Plant, "Vitebsk Cold Storage Plant", "Postavyfurniture", "Voropaevo Woodworking Plant" and "Vitebsktorgtekhnika"), where the share of regional communal property in the authorized capital is 100%, investors are offered to buy packages of 50% minus 1 share.
In another seven joint-stock companies, the Vitebsk region is ready to sell its shares in the authorized capital of "ATEK" (35.15%), "Vitebsktorgstroy" (38.78%), "Zhilstroy" (1.4%), "Eton Plant" (17.61%), "Lantan" (100%), "Keramika" (26.47%), "Vitebsk Instrument-Making Plant" (60.89%) in full.
Compared to the previous year, the offer to investors has decreased by seven OJSCs, mainly these are enterprises of the food industry.
Thus, OJSC "Vitebskmyasomolprom" and two organizations managed by it – "Vitebskiye Produkty" and "Pokrovsky" Cardboard and Printing Plant – were excluded from the list. As is known, this enterprise, which is the basic logistics center of the state association "Vitebsk Concern "Meat and Dairy Products", is implementing a large-scale project for the construction of a pig breeding complex in the Orsha district.
In addition, the issue of reorganizing "Vitebskmyasomolprom" by merging the "Vitebskiye Produkty" retail chain into it is currently being resolved. The company, as noted by its General Director Valery Kasperovich in an interview with "Vitebskiye Vesti", has made profitable.
Regional authorities also refused to privatize shares of the Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory and the Postavy Dairy Plant. OJSC "Promkombinat" (Ushachi), which is merged with OJSC "Znamya Industrializatsii", is also not on the list.
Vitebsk region offers investors 44% of the shares of regional communal property in the authorized fund of this sewing enterprise from the regional center.
