Shares of Orsha Tool Plant transferred to MTZ

Shares of OJSC "Orsha Tool Plant" have been transferred to the ownership of OJSC "MTZ", and shares of another Orsha enterprise - OJSC "Plant of Automatic Control Devices" - to the ownership of OJSC "BelAZ". This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry.

The shares were transferred taking into account the creation of favorable conditions for the implementation of investment projects in the Orsha region. MTZ plans to implement a project for the organization of a center for warranty, post-warranty, technical and service maintenance in the Vitebsk region with the creation of a spare parts warehouse. The plans also include the implementation of an import-substituting investment project for the development of production of new types of tools for metal-cutting machines, taking into account MTZ's existing competencies in this area. At the Plant of Automatic Control Devices, it is planned to implement an innovative project for ring rolling production and the production of rims for mining dump trucks with a carrying capacity of 130 to 450 tons. The relevance of the project is due to the possibility of creating a unique modern production of high-tech products that has no analogues in Belarus. It is expected that its implementation will solve the problem of dependence on imported components in the production costs of BelAZ mining dump trucks and contribute to increasing export potential.
