The "Belarus is Us!" campaign will give Vitebsk residents two encounters with classical music
November 16, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. Two classical music concerts will be held at the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic as part of the socio-cultural event "Belarus is Us!", the editor of the Philharmonic's concert department, Irina Deryugina, told a BELTA correspondent.
Today, representatives of the chamber and vocal genre will take the stage of the Philharmonic's grand hall. Classical music fans can look forward to an encounter with the "Serenade" string quintet and soloists of the National Academic Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre Stanislav Trifonov, Vasily Mingalev, and Tatiana Tretyak.
The "Serenade" string quintet was formed in December 2006. The ensemble's first performance took place on the stage of the small hall of the Belarusian State Philharmonic in collaboration with opera singer Tatiana Tretyak and had a great impact – the quintet began to be invited to various concert venues. Since then, "Serenade" has performed both with solo concert programs and in concerts with soloists of the Belarusian opera. The musicians' main idea is to introduce listeners to the diverse world of music, giving everyone the opportunity to hear their favorite melody – from ancient romances to jazz compositions.
On November 23, the Philharmonic will host a chamber music concert by the State Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus. The ensemble's creative biography began in 1968, with composer, organist, and conductor Oleg Yanchenko at its origins. Today, the artistic director and chief conductor of the orchestra is Honored Artist of Russia Evgeny Bushkov. The ensemble has successfully toured all countries of the former Soviet Union. The orchestra's performing art has been highly praised by audiences in Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Finland, Norway, Holland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Yugoslavia, and England; many famous performers have performed with the orchestra.
The socio-cultural event "Belarus is Us!" was launched on February 14 in Gomel with the concert "I Love Belarus!" featuring young performers Anya Sharkunova and German. The second stage of the event, under the motto "Treasures of the Belarusian Land," was opened in September by a republican exhibition of contemporary Belarusian fine art at the National Art Museum.
The creative marathon will conclude in February in Minsk. A gala concert of art masters will be held at the country's largest venue, Minsk-Arena. In total, about 100 creative projects will be implemented in the republic under the banner of the "Belarus is Us!" event. -0-
