The opposition's action goes beyond the electoral process and should not influence the observers' opinion - A. Nebogatov

December 20, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. An unsanctioned rally in Independence Square in Minsk should not be taken into account by observers of the presidential elections in Belarus. This opinion was expressed in a conversation with a BELTA correspondent by Anatoly Nebogatov, a long-term observer from the CIS, Director of the Department of Humanitarian Cooperation, General Political and Social Problems of the CIS Executive Committee. In his opinion, the outrages of young people in the square go beyond the electoral process, are an internal affair of the country, and therefore observers cannot assess them or take them into account when assessing the course of the electoral process. "The electoral process ended with the counting of votes and the announcement of the results of the free will of the citizens of Belarus. And it is the observers' business to monitor these procedures, not what and how is happening in the country," emphasized Anatoly Nebogatov, former Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of the Philippines. As the observer noted, the presidential elections in Belarus were held legitimately, in accordance with national electoral legislation. -0-
