Alexander Lukashenko on the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant: it is a state enterprise from today
As reported to Alexander Lukashenko, the process of returning the plant
to state ownership has been prepared. However, the President expressed a number
of complaints against the Ministry of Transport and Communications for its
previous inaction regarding the situation at this enterprise. At the same time, he
emphasized that in this case, the absence of state ownership of shares could not
serve as an excuse. "My people work here, your people - Belarusians work,
Russians - our citizens of Belarus. What difference does it make who owns these
shares. It is our task to ensure that people here receive a normal salary,"
said the Belarusian leader, addressing Minister Anatoly Sivak.
The President instructed to resolve all issues regarding the departmental subordination of the enterprise within July. "The plant must work, whatever it takes. The plant must not only exist - this plant must have development prospects. And put the architectural project and other things on my desk, taking into account what the business is doing here to expand the airport and so on," the President stated. - Sit down and decide. God forbid I come to Orsha again and the situation is like this." Alexander Lukashenko considers it necessary to clearly define not only the immediate plans for the plant's development, but also for the future, taking into account that such an enterprise will be in demand for many years to come. "Helicopter production and modernization, restoration, repair of helicopters - there are a sea of them in the world - so you have a good piece of work," the head of state noted.
The President also noted that if there areтрудности с поставкой необходимых комплектующих со стороны традиционных партнеров, то необходимо искать новые варианты, диверсифицировать партнерские связи, самостоятельно осваивать выпуск тех или иных комплектующих.
difficulties with the supply of necessary components from traditional partners, then it is necessary to look for new options, diversify partnership ties, and master the production of certain components independently. "We should not walk around and think that we can do nothing. We need to engage in this business if there is a market and helicopters for repair and modernization. Thousands of people (enterprise employees. - BELTA note) - there is a good school here, ideal conditions for working," Alexander Lukashenko is confident. The head of state did not rule out that certain assistance and support could be provided to the enterprise by the state. "We will help with something for a period, but we need to develop here," he said.
The President also drew attention to the average salary level of the plant's employees, which so far significantly falls short of the Br1 thousand mark. The head of state was informed about the financial and economic condition of the enterprise, the credit burden, current and prospective contracts, and plans to expand the scope of activities. In addition to the direct production component, Alexander Lukashenko also drew attention to the need to establish order on the plant's territory. In parallel with the development of the enterprise, the President also focused on the settlement of Bolbasovo, where the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant is located. The head of state demands that work on the improvement of this settlement be completed by November 7, and attention be paid to the creation of new jobs and the development of social infrastructure. "Why am I clinging to Baran and Bolbasovo (settlements in the Orsha district. - BELTA note) - this is a chic place, you can't think of a better place to live. Why shouldn't people live here? They will live here if there is work. We need to give them work. Only our carelessness will prevent us from employing people here," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized. As for Bolbasovo specifically, the President instructed him to present a development plan for this settlement by analogy with the urban-type settlement of Kopys. The head of state was informed that similar work is already underway, and a development and improvement plan for Bolbasovo has been developed.
