Alexander Lukashenko considers it necessary to accelerate the creation of an industrial and logistics complex in the Orsha district

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko considers it necessary to accelerate the creation of a multimodal industrial and logistics complex in the urban settlement of Bolbasovo, Orsha district. The head of state announced this today during a working trip to the Vitebsk region.

The implementation of the investment project has been entrusted to OOO "Bremeno Group". The completion date for the entire project is set for the end of December 2023. The industrial and logistics complex will include road and railway terminals, an aviation sector, universal industrial modules, an industrial zone, showrooms, and a hotel.

Currently, OOO "Bremeno Group" is carrying out the construction of the first phase - a road terminal with a warehouse building and an administrative and amenity complex for customs and other government services. The first phase will be completed at the end of 2018.

As Alexander Zaitsev, Chairman of the Board of Participants of "Bremeno Group", told the President, the industrial and logistics complex will start operating even before its full completion, with full capacity expected from the first stage of implementation. The head of state noted in this regard that if there is a good business opportunity in this matter, then the deadlines for the subsequent stages should not be extended. "If you see that there is business, you need to speed up. I am ready to participate in this so that you speed up," the Belarusian leader stated.

Alexander Zaitsev confirmed that there is a good opportunity for the development of all components. Good prospects are seen in the railway segment for the transit of containers from China to Europe, and the aviation sector is also promising. The company has already started working in these areas and is building up its client base. Regarding the aviation component, Alexander Zaitsev announced plans to create a flower exchange to operate through it in the region's markets.

It is planned to transship not only foreign flower products, for example from Ecuador, but also flowers from domestic greenhouse farms. In addition, in recent years, there has been a significant increase

sector of postal online orders. This area of activity is also planned to be developed in the multimodal complex. "The task is to occupy a key position for providing logistics services in the territory of Belarus and the Central Federal District of the Russian Federation," he said.
"Time is compressed and the market is volatile. Therefore, we need to do this faster," emphasized Alexander Lukashenko. The development of the local airport, the construction and equipping of a modern runway for the needs of not only transport cargo aviation, but also business aviation, were discussed in detail. "We need to develop business aviation and hangars for aircraft here," said the President.
In this case, Alexander Lukashenko also instructed to speed up the design and execution of the relevant work. "We need to do the work that we can do today," he said. "By November 7, all design work should be completed - both small and large. But we need to start working now."
