Alexander Subbotin on the parliamentary corps: it is one of the great and powerful levers of state governance

Александр Субботин о депутатском корпусе: это один из больших и мощных рычагов управления государством
The corps of deputies of Belarus acts as one of the powerful levers of state governance, and therefore it is important to make your conscious choice. This opinion was shared with journalists by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, on the unified voting day.

Alexander Subbotin made his choice on the unified voting day. The head of the region said that he knew some of the candidates both personally and indirectly – by their deeds, and had already decided in advance whom to vote for. He called the corps of deputies one of the most important tools in state governance.
"This is one of the major and powerful levers of state governance. Today, one of the branches of power is being formed – the legislative one. Not only those who vote, but also those who will be elected later should feel the importance of this, because a lot depends on them. And a lot depends on their active stance, especially since in the coming years they will move to the forefront. An elected representative should be at the forefront, should raise the alarm if there is an accident or something needs to be fixed. This is a person who should be closest to all of us, and it is easier to reach them. And they, in turn, have the opportunity to reach those in power who make the final decision. Everyone should understand this and perform their job with quality in the Year of Quality," said the chairman of the regional executive committee.

Alexander Subbotin said that his family has a long-standing tradition of coming to elections of any format and fulfilling their civic duty. "My parents were never persuaded or forced, but we always went to the elections, it was a real celebration. A child could eat something tasty there, listen to a concert. Everyone tried to create such an atmosphere here too," noted the chairman of the regional executive committee.
Speaking about the multi-party nature of candidates and future deputies, Alexander Subbotin emphasized that this will be an advantage in work. "The more diverse, in a good sense, the composition will be represented at all levels of the deputy corps, the more stable the system will be, the more effectively it will work," summarized the head of the northern region.-0-
