Alexander Subbotin on his appointment as governor: 'I take the helm with trepidation, understanding that the path will not be easy'

New Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, during his introduction and the President's meeting with the region's active members, emphasized that he assumes office with full awareness of the responsibility and complexity of the tasks ahead.

The governor noted that much has been done in the region and fundamental projects have been launched. He sees his main task as completing their implementation and using them effectively for the region's development.

"I take the helm with trepidation, understanding that the path will not be easy," he admitted. "I will try to do everything to make the Vitebsk region flourish, for people to be proud, and to come here not only for recreation but also for work."
