The General Director of the enterprise, Roman Bliznev, informed the head of the region that even under sanctions, they managed to ensure the balance of foreign trade activities. In the first quarter of 2022, the share of exports in the volume of shipped products was 90.6%. The share of innovative products in the total volume of shipped products was 30.5%. OJSC "Polotsk-Steklovolokno" is implementing an extensive investment program. In the first quarter of 2022, investments of 1.4 million rubles were utilized.
Open Joint Stock Company "Polotsk-Steklovolokno" is one of the leading manufacturers of fiberglass and materials based on it in the world. The industrial complex integrates all technological processes – from production to thermochemical treatment of products. Orders are fulfilled here not only for the automotive, aviation, and shipbuilding industries, but also for the electrical engineering and construction sectors, as well as for the metallurgical and military-industrial complexes. Unique fiberglass, which withstands up to 1200 degrees, is even used in nuclear reactors and in the space industry. Here, they know how to produce fibers from 5 to 25 microns (for comparison, a human hair is 20 microns). Currently, 10 furnaces produce 60 thousand tons of fiberglass per year, and the range of products manufactured here includes about a thousand items. The enterprise employs 3821 people, with an annual revenue of about 100 million dollars, and plans to double it.
