Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin familiarized himself with the construction of a new building for the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital.
What opportunities will this ultra-modern facility open up for the region?
– The new grand surgical building is the beginning of a major transformation. The creation of a medical cluster is planned, and all conditions are in place for this: next to the regional hospital is the VSMU clinic, the simulation center of the medical college. Therefore, in the future, we see not only a treatment center here, but also a center for science, – said the chairman of the regional executive committee Alexander Subbotin in a conversation with journalists. – There will be a total of 19 sterile operating rooms with the most modern equipment, and an intensive care unit with 30 beds. An innovative solution will be a universal reception ward with patient rooms, which will occupy the entire first floor, where emergency care can be provided, and then the patient can be discharged home within 1-2 days of stay in such a ward. These are new approaches.
The head of the region emphasized that the builders deserve special gratitude: despite their extremely busy schedule preparing city facilities for the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, they are ahead of schedule. The facility is being built with funds from the State Investment Program and the republican budget.
– The new surgical building is being constructed on the instructions of the head of state. This means the hospital will be ultra-modern. It is a matter of principle, – concluded Alexander Subbotin.
