Alexander Subbotin congratulated Polotsk healthcare on its 100th anniversary
The solemn event took place at the "Polotsk Culture Center". A thematic exhibition was organized here, which tells visitors about the long history of the local healthcare institution: from a hospital with 100 beds and a staff of 29 employees in the 1920s to a large modern multidisciplinary medical institution today, which provides medical care to 100,000 residents of Polotsk and Polotsk District. The service radius is 70 kilometers.
– Having visited the exhibition of achievements and learned about the prominent individuals who have reached great heights in professional skill and science, one can only be pleased for the Polotsk Central City Hospital. I was surprised to learn that it was from your institution that the Soviet biochemist, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, founder and first director of the Institute of Biochemistry, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Yuri Mikhailovich Ostrovsky began his journey. This is a great figure and an indicator that you not only treat, but also serve as a training ground for outstanding people for the entire country, – Alexander Subbotin addressed the staff and veterans of the Polotsk Central City Hospital. – Congratulations on your 100th anniversary! This milestone has been reached. It is important that we continue to maintain the trend towards improving medical care and the professional growth of employees. In medicine, there is probably no criterion that, once reached, allows us to rest. It is constantly developing, and new diagnostic and treatment methods are always emerging. I would like your institution to not only expand, strengthen, and retain its status as a major educational, scientific, and medical center for the next 100 years, but also to gain worldwide recognition. I wish you creative success, may your work bring you pleasure and joy, and may peace reign in your soul, family, and around you. I wish you health, good luck, and family well-being!
The head of the region was presented with a book and a commemorative sign as a keepsake from the Polotsk Central City Hospital, and in turn, he awarded the medical professionals with certificates of honor.
