Alexander Subbotin took part in the "Dazhynki" of the Vitebsk region

A fair of agricultural products, an exhibition of works by folk craft masters, thematic platforms, sports competitions, a demonstration of agricultural machinery – these and many other events formed the framework of the main grain growers' holiday. By tradition, the festival began with a festive procession of participants and guests. To the loud applause of the spectators, representatives of the district's agricultural enterprises and labor collectives marched in a column along the main street of the settlement.
A gift to the residents of the urban settlement was the grand opening of the "Garden of Dreams," which is located on the grounds of the Territorial Center for Social Services for the Population. The project became one of the winners of civil initiatives and made it possible to create a real paradise corner on the center's territory, where not only the wards of the institution but also all villagers can relax.
It was crowded on this day at the homesteads of the village councils, which competed in hospitality and presented their brands. For example, the Oktyabrsky village council presented the "Bread Homestead," the hostesses of Vymnyansky treated guests to hot draniki, aromatic fish soup, and fresh crayfish, and representatives of Zadubrovsky offered to taste homemade gingerbread and honey halva and warm up with herbal eco-tea.
The central event of the day was the honoring of the main participants of the festival – those who harvested the grain, transported it from the combines, cleared straw from the fields, and laid the foundation for the harvest: plowing, sowing, tending the crops, and working at the grain reception point. Winners and prize-winners of the district competition for harvesting grain and leguminous crops, and rapeseed, as well as workers who made a significant personal contribution to the district's harvest with their responsible labor, ascended the festive stage one after another. By the way, this year the army of grain growers included about 100 combine crews, over a hundred units of equipment were involved in transporting the harvest, and the daily number of participants in the harvesting process exceeded five hundred people.
– The Vitebsk region is one of the leading regions in the oblast, it sets a high bar that other regions should try to reach, – emphasized the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, congratulating the farmers on the holiday. – If everyone works like this, next year we will be able to surpass the two-million mark in grain threshed. At the same time, the region still has room to grow; there are land plots where a higher yield can be obtained, for example, by increasing the contour of the fields, and in some places, it is necessary to modernize not only production facilities but also livestock farms and pig complexes.
As noted by the Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Gennady Sabinich, this year's harvesting campaign, thanks to, and in some cases despite, the weather conditions, was carried out in optimally short terms, which allowed avoiding unjustified harvest losses. This year, farmers managed to achieve the second-best result in the entire history of the district, threshing 117 thousand tons of grain.
– We lacked a little perseverance, a principled approach in some areas, to overcome the record mark of 2020, when 118 thousand tons were harvested. Although this year was the most fruitful in decades, – emphasized the head of the district.
Traditionally, OJSC "Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory" and Unitary Enterprise "Rudakovo" became the leaders of the harvest in terms of gross grain yield, accounting for more than two-thirds of the total district harvest this season. Agricultural production "MazolovoGaz" once again proved that only the application of intensive technologies and elements of precision farming in crop production, technical progress in conjunction with strict discipline, is the key to success.

As a result, the farm's grain yield was 58.0 centners per hectare. The focus on technology and discipline allowed Unitary Enterprise "Lipovtsy" to achieve significant progress compared to previous periods, improving its last year's result by more than half.
Farming enterprise "Varmas" threshed more than 4000 tons of grain with a yield of 64 c/ha.
This year has been exceptional for new records. Over three thousand seven hundred tons were threshed by Valentin Yashchenko, a combine operator from UP "Rudakovo". Over two thousand tons were threshed by ten crews. In total, about forty crews surpassed the thousand-ton mark.
During this harvest, eight youth crews surpassed the thousand-ton mark for threshing, and seven for grain hauling. Unprecedented records were set by the young Yevgeny Kukharev, who threshed over three thousand seven hundred tons of grain, and Dmitry Ivanov, who transported over five thousand tons of "pure gold". Both are representatives of the Yanovichi region.

In preparation for the "Dazhynki" festival in the urban settlement of Yanovichi, over 200 events were implemented with a total cost exceeding 3 million rubles, aimed at renewal, reconstruction, modernization, and improvement of various spheres. Special attention was paid to road surface repairs in the urban settlement and the rural council as a whole. These works were carried out for a total amount of over 600 thousand rubles, with approximately 5 km of road surface updated. Traditionally, the housing stock also received attention.

In the current year, 4.4 thousand square meters of housing have been commissioned after major repairs. Reconstruction work has been carried out on a water supply network with a total length of over 1000 m, two boiler houses have been reconstructed, and a fiber-optic data transmission system with a length of over 13 km has been laid by the unitary enterprise "Beltelecom". The Yanovichskaya secondary school has acquired a new look.

Holding holiday festivals like "Dazhynki" is impossible without the development of the production sector. In just 2 years, 3 investment projects have been implemented in the settlement: the construction of an MTC, a grain drying complex, and the reconstruction of a grain cleaning facility. Within the framework of these projects, more than 40 new jobs have been created. Considerable work has been done to modernize and improve the machine-tractor fleet. The implementation of such projects creates prerequisites for the development of housing construction and infrastructure. Last year, an apartment building was commissioned, where 24 families became new residents, and a new modern retail facility appeared in the urban-type settlement.
