Alexander Subbotin: The creation of a Belarusian vaccine against COVID-19 has not lost its relevance

The "BelVitunipharma" plant is set to become the core of the biotechnology cluster being created in the Vitebsk region. At the same time, the development of a vaccine based on this enterprise has not lost its relevance in any way. This was stated to journalists by the head of the Vitebsk region, Alexander Subbotin, commenting on the results of a meeting with the President on topical issues of the Vitebsk region's development.

According to Alexander Subbotin, the production of a Belarusian vaccine against COVID-19 has not lost its relevance:

– New strains are emerging, some predict there will be several more waves. The pandemic may return, or a new disease may appear. We must be prepared for anything. Therefore, what we are doing has not lost its relevance. "BelVitunipharma" will still be the core of the creation (of the biotechnology cluster. – Ed.). It is on its site that new production is being formed, a research institute has been established.
