Alexander Subbotin: 'Vityaz' is an example of how focusing on innovative development helps minimize external risks

Vitebsk TV Plant is a good example of how focusing on innovative development, without being limited to a single production area, helps to minimize external risks, retain the workforce, and move forward by leveraging the integration opportunities between Belarus and Russia.

These aspects were highlighted by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, during his visit to OJSC "Vityaz," where he met with the workforce and held a reception for citizens on personal matters.

— For a manufacturer, the most important evaluation is consumer preference. The fact that "Vityaz" television products have won and retain the title of a people's brand in Russia speaks for itself, — the head of the region noted in a conversation with journalists. — Moreover, it is gratifying to see that the plant workers are not fixated on one area but produce a wide range of products. It was surprising for me to learn that "Vityaz" has a large line of polymer products in its production portfolio, including boxes for cheese production, which are in demand in Europe. And these are high-tech products. Today, it is precisely such enterprises that have prospects.

By the way, Alexander Subbotin visited "Vityaz" for the first time. Therefore, before receiving citizens, he familiarized himself with the company's production potential, the team's working conditions, and appreciated the technological innovations. Among them is a complex for neutralizing medical waste by steam disinfection followed by shredding. According to Gennady Azarov, General Director of the joint-stock company, the Vityaz testing and certification center is currently completing the equipment's verification tests. Then the development will be submitted for registration to the Ministry of Health. After receiving the approval from the medical professionals, the enterprise will begin the industrial production of the product, which, according to specialists, is in demand on the domestic market and has export potential.

The innovation will solve a pressing, primarily environmental, problem of utilizing used medical devices and waste (used syringes, droppers, biomaterials, etc.). This is another development by specialists of "Vityaz-S" IPC, who have extensive experience working with microwave technologies. Largely thanks to their efforts, the enterprise holds a significant share of the domestic market for sterilization and disinfection equipment, and is also among the leading manufacturers of such products in Russia and Kazakhstan.

The enterprise clearly understands that "Vityaz" will have no future without innovative development. Therefore, the team is constantly searching for innovative ideas, technological products, and original designs. By the way, like many Belarusian companies, "Vityaz" went through turbulent times, the peak of which occurred in late spring and early summer of 2022, when sanctions forced them to rebuild logistics, financial, and business ties. Moreover, it withstood this period largely thanks to innovations introduced in recent years. Their implementation has transformed the television plant into a diversified manufacturer: when the number of support points expands, the stability of the structure increases.

For example, today a program for the development of electric transport is actively being implemented in the country, and the necessary charging infrastructure is being created. And in 2017, "Vityaz" took a risk and became a pioneer in this direction. Currently, its portfolio already includes more than 20 models of electric charging stations of various modifications. Plans for 2023 include increasing the production volumes of ECS, including those with Chinese standard ports, expanding the range of equipment with an output power of 90, 120 kW, as well as stations with liquid-cooled connectors (150, 180, 200 kW). The company is consistently building up its expertise and has recently taken a qualitative step forward by launching the ISKRA hardware-software complex on the market. The mobile application allows you to combine all charging devices into a single network.

On this technological basis, "Vityaz" is developing its own network of electric charging stations, and also offers an intelligent product to all potential partners for network construction of charging infrastructure under its own brand. In this direction, the pilot project was the cooperation with RUP "Beltelecom". The other day, the state telecommunications operator presented the first facility of its own network of electric charging stations under the Evika brand, installed in Pinsk. The new line of business for "Beltelecom" is based on the developments of "Vityaz" (charging equipment and software product). In the near future, 19 more charging complexes will appear in Minsk, Brest, Soligorsk and other cities.
