Alexander Subbotin met with the staff and visited the production facilities of the company 'VIK - Animal Health'

Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, during an on-site reception of citizens, held a meeting with the staff of the foreign unitary enterprise "VIK – Animal Health" and familiarized himself with the potential and production capabilities of the market leader in veterinary drugs, animal care products, and cosmetic products.

The head of the region noted that the pharmaceutical industry is currently the most technologically advanced, which is why Vitebsk region is focusing on it.

– Today, an on-site reception of citizens was planned, and we combined it with a visit to one of the leading enterprises in the pharmaceutical industry of our region, – said Alexander Subbotin. – The relevance of this issue is also added by the fact that we are trying to form a biopharmaceutical technology cluster, so we want to look at successful approaches to work here in order to use them in other enterprises in the future. The pharmaceutical industry is important for us; the President of Belarus also spoke about this at a meeting. This will be one of the leading projects that will contribute to the further development and uplift of the northern region of the country.

A significant portion of the products manufactured by the enterprise is import-substituting and export-oriented. Currently, the product range manufactured at "VIK – Animal Health" includes over 300 types of medicines, cosmetics and care products for animals under the Doctor VIC brand, and pharmaceutical-grade cosmetics for people under the SelfieLab brand.

"VIK – Animal Health" consists of two workshops. The enterprise is currently operating at full capacity, working in three shifts. To meet customer needs, work is also carried out on weekends. As assured by the enterprise director Ilya Kurganov, there are no production downtimes.

– The project for the construction of a new workshop, where categories of veterinary drugs – sterile injectable suspensions, mastitis syringes, and sterile powder loose – will be put into mass production, is nearing completion, – Ilya Kurganov added. – The facility has been erected, and all the cleanroom structures have been installed. Currently, we are awaiting equipment delivery to commence the production of innovative products that fall under the import substitution category. "Vitebskiye Vesti"
