To make the girls feel like regional leaders, Alexander Subbotin suggested they sit in his chair first. This initiative was first taken up by Maria Korchik, a representative of the veterinary academy. Others followed her example, asking which of the many phones could directly call the President. They did not call him, but the chairman of the Braslav District Executive Committee was contacted, and the governor inquired about the progress of sowing preparations. "Normal," was the response. However, the governor's first impression after his appointment to the high position was somewhat chaotic. "I simply wasn't allowed into the regional executive committee building because I had handed in my old ID and hadn't received a new one yet. The security service acted according to instructions, as it should be," Alexander Mikhailovich replied to a question asked.

In his time, as a student at the veterinary academy, he engaged in scientific work, boxing, and taekwondo, although, like many others, he wanted to be lazy and skip lectures. As an amateur athlete, he strongly recommends that young people today not despair over temporary difficulties, but fight and go to the end to achieve their goals. A woman, in the governor's opinion, is a harmonious personality, therefore she successfully copes with both, can lead a large team, and at the same time create a cozy home environment.
The head of the region emphasized that the meeting was very positive and one of the important events of the day. In turn, Olga Gorlova, a representative of the Academy of Veterinary Medicine and the chairperson of the Belarusian Women's Union in the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk, noted Alexander Subbotin's openness and friendliness, and his frank answers to the most tricky questions.
