Alexander Subbotin met with students of PSU named after P. Masherov

Александр Субботин встретился со студентами ВГУ им. П. Машерова
An "uncensored" conversation took place on Constitution Day between the head of the region, Alexander Subbotin, and students of PSU named after P. Masherov.

During the dialogue session "Creating the Future Together!", the Masherovites told the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee about the multi-vector directions of their public activities. Original projects were proposed that could be implemented by the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and for the forum of regions of Belarus and Russia. For example, at the suggestion of art students, thematic transport stops dedicated to these two important events could be designed, as well as a stop directly near the university dedicated to the prominent political figure Pyotr Masherov, after whom the university is named.

The young Masherovites asked Alexander Subbotin how they could help their native Vitebsk region, invited him to take an excursion to Khatyn with them, go on a hiking trip, and expressed their readiness to join the head of the region for a volunteer work day. They presented him with a wish fulfillment coupon.

Alexander Subbotin responded enthusiastically to the students' proposals, shared his life philosophy, and answered their questions, as they say, "uncensored." He suggested thinking together about how to assist the Vitebsk Zoo, in particular, in building an enclosure for the bear cub Dobrynya, which he will need in adulthood. All the students' proposals and projects were highly appreciated and approved by the head of the regional government.

– On one of the main state holidays, we draw attention to the fundamental law of our country, especially to its innovations that appeared in 2022, – noted Alexander Subbotin, communicating with media representatives. – Many new articles that appeared in it were actively discussed, and this allowed not only to attract additional attention to it, but also to immerse those people who had never deeply familiarized themselves with its content in this process. And this gave an understanding of what guides us when making changes to the fundamental law, and where we are going. The day is important and necessary – primarily for increasing our self-awareness as a people. After all, the Constitution begins with: "We, the people of the Republic of Belarus..."
