Alexander Terekhov believes that apartment buildings should be built without garbage chutes
Alexander Terekhov said that work is currently underway in the country to develop a separate waste collection system. At the same time, the chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Igor Isachenko, noted that, according to monitoring results, citizens are not yet ready to abandon garbage chutes, and the construction of houses without these traditional structures will cause complaints and grievances from residents. Therefore, projects for residential buildings that are being built and planned for construction in Vitebsk and the region include garbage chutes. In turn, the Minister of Housing and Communal Services emphasized that explanatory work should be carried out with people. "The refusal of garbage chutes and separate collection of secondary resources will reduce the tariffs for waste removal and disposal," - explained Alexander Terekhov.
In addition, at the meeting, the chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, outlined the main task of the region in the construction industry, noting that the main thing now is to preserve the construction industry, not to lose highly qualified workers, top-class specialists, and equipment. In the first half of 2016, using all sources of funding, 166.1 thousand square meters of total residential area were commissioned in the region, or 57.7% of the annual target set by the Council of Ministers at 288 thousand square meters.
