Alexander Khitrov became the owner of the "Golden Pen" – a commemorative prize from the Directorate of the International Arts Festival for the best media coverage
A person who is always with the festival. This is how the director of "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" Alexander Sidorenko described the leading photo correspondent (for the Vitebsk region) of the republican news agency BelTA, Alexander Khitrov, presenting him with the "Golden Pen" – a Commemorative Prize of the Directorate of the International Festival of Arts for the best media coverage of the events of the previous – XXIII festival. However, with the "Golden Pen" in his hands, Alexander Vladimirovich looked somewhat strange. He would have been more suited with a "Golden Lens", as he is practically inseparable from his camera, especially during these July days when every moment can bring creative luck.
Alexander Sidorenko noted that Alexander Vladimirovich receives the award rightfully and added: "There was no event at our forum where I didn't see him among the first journalists". And, indeed, as Alexander Khitrov, a correspondent for "VV" admitted, he has been with "Slavianski Bazaar" since the very first day. Moreover, he sought and found interesting angles for the many thousands of readers of local and republican press even at the Festival of Polish Song.
Alexander Sidorenko also presented a letter of gratitude to Inna Sheikhatovich, a correspondent for the newspaper "Novosti Nedeli" (Israel). Honorary diplomas of the Ministry of Information of Belarus were awarded to representatives of the newspapers "Sovetskaya Belorussiya", "Kultura", and the National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus.
These were the pleasant moments that marked the grand opening of the international press center of the XXIV International Festival of Arts. Irina Driga, First Deputy Minister of Culture of Belarus, who attended the ceremony, quoted the common phrase: "If an event is not in the press, it does not exist at all", and emphasized that many interesting projects are planned within the framework of the forum, so every journalist will definitely find something to their liking. And Sergey Khilman, Deputy Minister of Information of Belarus, announced that more than 350 journalists from 14 countries will cover the events of the current "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" . "This indicates that interest in the festival has not waned, the event remains relevant for journalists, and therefore for the viewing and reading audience", – said Sergey Khilman and wished the attendees not only creative inspiration but also to become more friendly. After all, the consolidating mission of the Vitebsk forum leaves its mark on journalists who join forces in their endeavor to truthfully, promptly, and interestingly tell the world about "Slavianski Bazaar".
