Alexey Geroev headed the Vitebsk City Executive Committee
All the deputies who spoke noted the masterly, business-like, and human qualities of Aleksey Geroev. During his work in various positions, he has proven himself to be a competent, energetic, and proactive leader, distinguished by good organizational skills, high responsibility for the assigned tasks, and determination. Under his leadership, the region prepared for landmark events – the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, the celebration of the 1050th anniversary of Vitebsk, the International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", and the rural workers' festival "Dazhynki-2024" in Beshenkovichi.
Aleksey Geroev is consistent in his work, capable of objectively assessing the situation and promptly making correct management decisions. He enjoys authority and respect.
The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Aleksandr Subbotin, while presenting the service ID to the new head of the city, expressed confidence that Aleksey Geroev will overcome any barriers and make every effort to make the regional center even more beautiful and comfortable for its residents.
Congratulating the new mayor, the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Dmitry Demidov, wished him to act as a united team for the benefit of the people.
– I was fortunate to work in all three administrations of Vitebsk, and I got to know the city from all sides, its strengths and weaknesses. During conversations with residents, I sometimes heard from them that things used to be better. I believe that the work of our entire team should be aimed at people saying: it has become more beautiful, cozier, better than before. So that enterprises work stably, private business develops, new jobs appear, the level of services rises, and people's well-being grows, – emphasized Alexey Geroev.
Among the priority tasks, the new chairman of the city executive committee named the tidying up of yard areas, improving the maintenance of the housing stock, increasing the wage level, the effective functioning of the economy, the development of the social sphere, and transport infrastructure. As Alexey Geroev assured, all these changes will be visible to the residents of Vitebsk in the near future.
Reference "VV". Alexey Geroev was born in 1983 in Vitebsk. He graduated from Polotsk State University with a degree in Industrial and Civil Construction, and the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus. He worked as the chief engineer of the Vitebsk City Housing and Communal Services, deputy chairman of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee, first deputy head of the administration of the Oktyabrsky District of Vitebsk, then headed the administration of the Zheleznodorozhny District, and the Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Regional Executive Committee. Before being appointed mayor, he was the deputy chairman of the Regional Executive Committee.
