The Alley of Fathers in the Pervomaysky District of Vitebsk has been enriched with five new saplings in honor of children born on Mother's Day.

Four boys and one girl were born on Mother's Day at Vitebsk City Clinical Maternity Hospital No. 2. An event "Belaya Rus – With Love for Children" was organized for the young parents, attended by Dmitry Demidov, Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Chairman of the regional organization of the RPO "Belaya Rus"; Yevgeny Semyonchev, Head of the Administration of Pervomaisky District; Alexander Kaplevsky, Chairman of the Pervomaisky District organization of the RPO "Belaya Rus"; and Dmitry Serzhantov, Chief Physician of Maternity Hospital No. 2.

– The birth of a child is a special event and lifelong happiness for every family, – emphasized Dmitry Demidov. – It is very symbolic that today we congratulate the young mothers who have acquired this honorary status on Mother's Day. This is one of the most heartfelt, warmest holidays in our country, when we have the opportunity to express our gratitude to our mothers, to thank our wives who have given us children.

On this day, young families received certificates from "Belaya Rus" for the purchase of goods, bouquets of flowers, care products, and a symbolic "stork," which, as is known, brings the happiness of having a child into the home. By the way, the young parents were also wished to return to the maternity hospital for new additions to their families.

– The support of motherhood and childhood is one of the main tasks of our state. By presenting gifts from the "Belaya Rus" organization, we draw attention to the need to preserve the traditional values of our family and to resist the targeted pressure exerted by the collective West to introduce destructive traditions such as childfree, late marriage, and so on, – stressed Dmitry Demidov. – This is a topic on which the demographic and national security of our country depend. Therefore, it is so important to preserve our families, our traditions, and to do everything possible to ensure that our children grow up in complete families in an atmosphere of love and care, are always surrounded by attention, and that parents realize their own responsibility for the fate of their children.

The tradition of planting trees on Father's Day was initiated by the Pervomaiskaya district organization of the RPO "Belaya Rus" in 2022, when Father's Day was celebrated for the first time in Belarus. Initially, trees were planted by members of the organization – fathers of families, then the tradition was continued by fathers of children born during the Week of Parental Love in this healthcare institution.

After the celebration in the maternity hospital, a red ribbon was cut – a personalized plaque of the alley, where five young thuas were planted, was unveiled.
