A. Lukashenka: in 1-2 months we will forget all currency troubles /updated/
May 12, Shklovsky District / Lyudmila Sats - BELTA/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko promised that Belarus would resolve the situation on the currency market within 1-2 months. He stated this today during a visit to OJSC "Alexandriyskoye" in the Shklovsky District, according to a BELTA correspondent.
"Yes, it's a bit difficult today. We will get through it. In 1-2 months, we will calmly forget all currency troubles," the head of state said.
According to him, Belarus will follow its own path further. "Lately, we are increasingly being fed ideas in connection with these financial difficulties, saying that reforms are needed. We are subtly, carefully, with prompting, of course, from there, being pushed towards some reforms, and they shout, especially those from the fifth column, that reforms are needed immediately and reforms. But what kind of reform is needed? What reform do they offer us? They offer us a reform for destruction," Alexander Lukashenko said.
He also emphasized: "We need a reform like this: when farms work, produce products, there is demand for them at any point on the planet, then sell what the state needs, and for the rest, buy whatever you want on import. And there are no problems with currency. This is the kind of reform we need." But this will be difficult, and it will be a long road, the head of state noted. "But this is our path. There is no other way," Alexander Lukashenko added. -0-
