A. Lukashenko instructed the KGB to ensure proper control over the main directions of the country's development
June 11, Minsk /BELTA/. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko received a report from the Chairman of the State Control Committee Alexander Yakobson on June 11. Yakobson reported on the activities of the control agency in January-May of the current year, as well as on the results of monitoring the implementation of a number of the head of state's instructions. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
One of the topics of the report was an inspection conducted by the SCC at 17 land reclamation facilities in 9 districts of the Brest and Gomel regions. As established, during land reclamation work, there is a real opportunity to save budget funds at the planning stage. If the proposed approaches to saving funds are extended to all land reclamation facilities in the country, then Br150 billion can be saved. "Inspections have shown that funds allocated for this event, which is so important for the state, are being spent extremely wastefully," emphasized Alexander Yakobson.
The President also heard a report on the results of monitoring the progress of dairy farm reconstruction in agricultural organizations. So far, the proper pace of work has not been ensured everywhere, there is a shortage of own funds necessary for reconstruction, and the development of design and estimate documentation is being delayed. However, on the whole, according to the head of the SCC, the country has all the opportunities for the task to be implemented.
During the working meeting, the issue of road construction between the capital and regional centers was also discussed. In particular, the issue of reducing the cost of reconstructing the M-5 highway (Minsk-Gomel) was raised. Here, too, there are significant reserves for saving financial resources.
Alexander Lukashenko instructed the Chairman of the SCC to continue to ensure proper control over the main areas of the country's socio-economic development. -0-
