A general practitioner's clinic has opened in Kurino, Vitebsk region

Over a thousand residents of 26 rural settlements will be able to receive first medical aid at the Kurino general practitioner's outpatient clinic in the Vitebsk region.

The outpatient clinic reopened its doors after reconstruction, which took about four months. During the major overhaul, engineering networks were replaced, a ramp was installed, a computer was purchased, and a video surveillance camera was installed. The outpatient clinic is equipped with a new ECG machine, a defibrillator, and a general practitioner's kit.

Such a social facility in the countryside is in high demand, emphasized Zhanna Cherkunova, Deputy Chairperson of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee. Elderly people mainly live in remote villages, and they do not always have the opportunity to get to City Polyclinic No. 7 of the regional center, which serves about 20,000 residents of the district.

The general practitioner from Vitebsk, Maria Zadirayenkova, previously provided first medical aid to villagers at the Kurino outpatient clinic, and she will be doubly more comfortable working in the renovated premises.
